  • "A couple of guys I know got the apprenticeship last year, and they said how great it was so I decided I'll try for it.

So far we've learnt lots of hand tool techniques, how to weld and operate lathes, mills and drills.

The people that you work with are just awesome, we get a nine day fortnight which is every second Friday off, you get to rotate in different areas and decide which one you like the most, the pay and conditions are better than elsewhere.

It's a really challenging job but that's what makes it great."
